Afflicted

It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees. The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.  – Psalm 119:71-72

Anything that leads us to obey God is a blessing. Whatever leads us to receive salvation regardless of the cost, or what we must give up, we are thankful for it in the end – for nothing in this world can be "compared with the glory that will be revealed in us in heaven."
